i'm so full of the Lord's joy that i can't contain it! it's wonderful! i'm so excited to leave tomorrow and ready! a day with the Lord will definitely prepare you. i love you guys and i hope i get to post on here; if not, go to www.restoration-ministries.com to keep posted on our adventures.

The people were all so amazed that they asked each other, "What is this? A new teaching-- and with authority! He even gives orders to evil spirits and they obey him."
Mark 1:27

I'm reading the New Testament in 30 days with my kids who are going to Texas in a couple of weeks. It has been challenging & wonderful at the same time. I am still behind but I am loving this challenge to read the Bible.

This verse above really spoke to me as well as others. The way Matthew and Mark have mentioned the word 'authority' more than once has really stood out. The people were amazed at what Jesus did... the miracles he performed as well as his teachings. The best part about it is the way he spoke. He spoke with authority & he believed in what he was saying. I have started to meet with the girls on the team to talk about what we have been reading because it is important to understand what the Word says. I told the girls today that we need this authority in our lives. We have this authority in our lives if we believe in what we read and trust what it says.

The Word is truth. I want more of this authority in the way I speak and the way I live my life. I pray that the Lord will give us this for our trip to Texas and for our lives.

He's ravished by us.

tonight i got to catch up with some of my favorite girls in tuscaloosa. we just talked about our hearts and what we want to see in our group of friends. we really talked about many different things but the one i want to share is about Jesus' love for us. It's so beautiful and we can't even comprehend it!

i'm reading Deep Unto Deep by Dana Candler. i've only gotten through the first chapter due to lack of time to sit down and read it. she is explaining how we just glance at Jesus and he goes crazy over us and how we overcome Him! song of solomon 6:5 is mentioned in this and this is what she says:

I imagine Jesus, with eyes as flames of fire, turning to His Father and exclaiming, "Look at her Father! She has not seen Me yet she believes! She is once more lifting her eyes to Me. She has chosen to fix her gaze again upon what is unseen. Oh, she overcomes Me! How she conquers My heart with her lovesick gaze!"

How beautiful is this?! a gaze makes HIM go nuts! i want to know more about being lovesick and i want to be more lovesick for my Daddy, for the Bridegroom.

encouraging weekend

highlights of the last couple of days.

Thursday:
-found out that the bars in Tuscaloosa has decreased 20% in their profits due to the economic crisis; business has been really slow and the slowest night is on Thursdays! God is moving at Unashamed.

Friday:
-barns & noble tornado/thunderstorm
-the start of the girls' hangout weekend

Saturday:
-hearing how God is moving in my friends' hearts while they are still young in spirit. God is raising them up and training them into leaders.
-the way the Holy Spirit moves in our lives.

Sunday:
-snow
-hearing people who do not have access to a Bible and know very little of the Word, except for that they know Jesus died for them and now that they are following him and accepted him and are forgiven, go and be martyred for Jesus Christ. that's inspiring for me.
-spending time with the girls and being able to have quality time no matter what we do.
-i pray that i will be that bold to die for Him.
-praying tonight was great and felt like old times.

overall:
-how we all overcome our hardships and worship our Father.
-my Father is so good to me.
-I accept his love.
